ABOUT JORDAN OKREND
Jordan Okrend is a dynamic artist who fuses vintage pop with funky jazz edge, creating a sound that's both soulful and socially concious- an increasingly rare trait in today's pop landscape.
A north Carolina native, Okrend released his first two EP's Unpredictable and Rising Up, while studying at Berkley College of Music. He quickly gained recognition, performing at reowned venues like Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, and The Grey Eagle.
His 2015 EP, World Keeps Turnin' cemented his place among modern soul revitalistslike Allen Stone and Michael Kiwanuka, blending old-school vibes with a contemporary edge and the social awareness of icons like Lennon, Hendrix, and Marley.
His 2017 album, Dance by the Riverside, explored the stresses of modern life with a rich fusion of funk and retro soul. Indie Minded praised it, noting his "soulful vocals in the vein of Amos Lee abd Allen Stone, expert instrumentation and meaningful lyrics"

Global Heart, Local Soul
Since then, he's released socially charged singles like Competition (2008) and Higher Mind (2019), alongside the retro-soul love ballad How Many Days (2019).
From 2019 to 2025, Okrend resided in France, while touring globally with the Phly Boyz, an international roaming acoustic luxury events band. During this time, he had the honor of performing for icons like Robbie Williams, Bono, Elthon John, and Sting.
Present Day
Now based in Greenville, SC, he continues to perform throught the region-bringing his distinct blend of heart, groove, and message to every stage he steps on.
